This was when I realized Morrison was writing this week.

I miss his JLA.

  1. My cricketron used to go berserk all the time too until I updated the firmware.

  2. Those first few pages of 52 this week were solid gold fun.

  3. The scenes on the island were definitely a hoot. The Criketron made me think of Beetle. *sniff*

  4. This whole issue was classic, especially when the Question screams out, "Black Adam, Shazam!, Isis", seeing if he was going to get some superpowered juice! (and someone remind me why Isis wants to go to China???)

  5. JLA has to be one of my least fav Morrison works.

  6. Geez. I don't know how I missed that. The whole "Island of Mad Doctors" is VINTAGE Morrison.

And I don't miss him, because I've been re-reading The Invisibles

  7. The Chinese heroes are actually called The Great Ten. I'm looking forward to the throwdown (if that's what we're in for).

  8. I miss Morrison's JLA, Where else could you hear Granny Goodness talk in Smiths lyrics?

"Unruly boys who will not grow up will be taken in hand....."

He also had Kyle refer to Captain Marvel as "the man with the child in his eyes".

    "The fish and fowl team".

    "He's wrestling an ANGEL!"

How could you not love the Morrison JLA run?

  9. While it was a fun read, I was primarily concerned that they were on "Oolong Island", traditional home of Wonder Woman's Egg Fu.

Aren't there some characters who should just get put out of their misery?
