Raise a glass to Heath Ledger

Patrick Verona was based on one of the biggest jerks Shakespeare wrote, but Heath Ledger played him and I liked him. I'm still willing to watch 10 Things I Hate About You (a movie in which nothing supernatural happened) multiple times.

I'm still looking forward to The Dark Knight, but it's going to be sad.

  1. I watched 10 THINGS this weekend, actually. I've loved that movie since high school. I like to say (as does absolutely everyone else I know) that it is way, way better than it has any right to be. And every time he grinned i kept thinking, "damn, that is a Joker grin."

DARK KNIGHT is going to be weird to watch.

  2. I watched 'Brothers Grimm' this weekend, and quite liked Ledger in it. Probably because he was playing the nerdier brother who studies fairy tales ( as opposed to Matt Damon's materialistic profit-seeking brother).

    Bummer.

  3. I didn't expect this Ragnell--i rarely find myself agreeing with you on the "this comic good/this comic bad" front, but I'm an unapologetic fan of this ridiculously flick as well. Up until hearing about him in Dark Knight, Heath Ledger always meant "that silly high school movie I like way more than anybody as snobby as me should."
