Just once wouldn't it be nice if they didn't shout out the hero's weakness TO THE BAD GUY!? I mean taunting is fun and all, but it always seems to come back and bite you in the butt.
They did a story a few years ago where they talked about how the two used to be seperate gods but they merged... it's really not worth going into and Captain Marvel and Diana refuse to talk about it now.
But the short version is yes...Diana swore by the Roman god names as well as Greek. (Merciful Minerva vs. Great Hera!)
Oooh, I know! Parcheesi tournament! Those Greco-Roman pantheon figures loves them some Parcheesi!
"It is Greek Gods and not Romans."
The Romans had a habit of absorbing other religions: thus the Greek gods were basically swiped wholesale with just the serial numbers filed off; and at some point they bought into this fad called "Christianity" - perhaps you've heard of it?

ReplyDeleteMars? Shouldn't it be Ares? It is Greek Gods and not Romans.

"In the misty regions, Mars is enraged..." This might be due to Mars having 'misty regions'...sounds kinda uncomfortable...:-p
ReplyDeleteI know aphrodite wasn't the goddess of wisdom but...
ReplyDeleteHow does she know what other women wear to bed?
ReplyDeleteBeing enraged in the misty regions ain't so bad. You learn to live with it.
Not that I would know from any personal experience. I had a friend that told me
"Guess what happened next."
