Not enough people are aware that the Ambiguously Gay Duo are based directly on Green Lantern and ass-rider supreme Kairo. Sirena, Queen of Evil even fought Ace and Gary once, planning to use her pheromones against them. (Bighead: "I ... don't think that's going to work.")
And the sweatshop animators couldn't figure out whether Hal's ring could affect yellow or couldn't affect yellow or produced a yellow beam ... but by golly, they got the hit-in-the-head thing just right.

ReplyDeleteThe Magna Beam zeroes in on Hal's Brain Waves? Hal hasn't GOT Brain Waves! He does everything by the seat of his pants!
ReplyDeleteIncluding Kairo apparently. I blush to admit that I didn't put Ace and Gary together with Hal and Kairo until now. I guess I DO lead a sheltered life!
Would it please you to further learn that Ace and Gary were voiced by Stephen Colbert and Steve Carrell?
