Poor Zauriel

Admittedly, the classroom scene was worth the price of the issue.

  1. I vaguely recall hearing about this a while ago. And I've got to wonder. You'd think a guy who's been a guardian angel over humanity for well...as long as there have been humans most likely, would be better at answering what have to be some common questions...

I think that says more for the writer's inability to come up with any good answers...

  2. I agree. I help teach Sunday school at my local parish, and we get those kinds of questions all the time (except the one about the animal-based angels). And, you know, we just answer them. And I don't think it's because we're really smart; rather, churches have been dealing with them for a long time now (2000 or so years), so we come up with some dang good answers.

Surely an angel (whose stated mission is to heighten faith in God, at that) could at least manage more than a stutter.

  3. I thought it was cute - he's been dealing mostly with adults and where he can make actual answers to date... There weren't a lot of children on the Watchtower. :)

I would too if ppl blamed me for everything all the time :(

  5. Great, now I'm picturing God's LiveJournal account...

My ex still won't talk to me. And J^^^^ won't clean his room. I sometimes wonder why I bother.

    Current Mood: Sad :(

  6. Awww man - that was totally lifted from a Bill Maher rant.

I agree with LurkerWithout's 1st comment - for the record, Bill Maher didn't give an answer for God, which may be why we don't see one here :)

  7. I actually liked this part of the book quite a bit, even if once I stopped to think about it, it seemed ridciulous since Zauriel is a real angel who lived in Heaven and worked for God not in the way a presit does but in the way that, say a Stever Gerber works for his editior.

After that scene though, man that book went down the tubes fast.
