Aaaaahhh...and now we are back in reality time. I really hate Daylight savings, because I hate getting up in the dark. Darkness in the afternoon doesn't bother me in the least. However, I understand that NEXT year, they are starting it earlier and ending it later, which depresses me to no end.
Did some research...'cause I had some extra time(hee!hee!)...and discovered that it's not just Mallet's 'desert brethren'(though the Navajo Nation has DST)...there's no DST in Hawaii, Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam or American Samoa. Up here in Canada, most of Saskatchewan goes without DST, as well as northeastern British Columbia...so ends the lesson for the day...:p
No daylight savings time here in Japan. Which depresses me to know end, because like Sally, I HATE getting up in the dark. And now I have to every day...
The coolest thing about the lack of time change in Arizona is that the Navajo Nation totally encircles the Hopi Nation, which also does not do Daylight Savings. Therefore, you can drive from Arizona onto Navajo land and change your clocks, then drive onto Hopi land and change them back. ARIZONA RULES!
Ha!
ReplyDeleteI mock you, For you give in to the whim's of time!
My desert brethern are to strong to fall before it though!

ReplyDelete"Daylight Savings Time took effect"? No, it stopped taking effect.
ReplyDeleteDon't forget Indiana...
ReplyDeleteAnd here in the UK, BST (British Summer Time) has ended and good ol' GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) is back for the winter.
ReplyDeleteSuddenly it seems to get dark really early in the afternoon now.
