It's getting a US remake. The Eye has allready gotten a US remake, which I haven't seen, so I can't give it any sort of reccomendation. The Host had a US release, complete with dub.

I have to say my favorite one was Phone, which had a protagonist who actually approached her situation with common sense. It was like she could hear the audience shouting suggestions at her and said "Good idea!"

I'm a wuss for the gore stuff, so I just avoid those alltogether. I'm so not into murder porn.R.Navhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11039953551726189448noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16538843.post-8965774197035973592008-03-11T07:30:00.000-04:002008-03-11T07:30:00.000-04:00Kicking myself for not immediately recognizing the...Kicking myself for not immediately recognizing the reference made in the post's title. Ringu is just not scary at all. It's actually kind of boring. And the original Grudge(Ju-On)? What a mess. The remake figured out that one thing it needed to do was carve out one of the subplots. Granted outside of those and Pulse, I haven't seen the other remakes...but none of them struck me as bad, and certainly no worse than the movies they were based on.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16538843.post-17549875454668382502008-03-09T13:17:00.000-04:002008-03-09T13:17:00.000-04:00Which movies have you been watching? And I'm still scared of spirals to this day.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16538843.post-13016908460007506662008-03-09T11:48:00.000-04:002008-03-09T11:48:00.000-04:00long time lurker, first time commenter here. I'm a bit of a horror fan, but I've never gotten into any Japanese or Korean stuff. could you recommend some titles that you found good/scary?

I'd recommend reading "Uzumaki" by Junji Ito. It's a manga, and although I'm not a big fan of manga, I've really enjoyed this series. It's horror, and I think it really fits your preference for urban legends, ghost stories, and just plain old creepy stuff.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16538843.post-25786938351305199532008-03-09T04:07:00.000-04:002008-03-09T04:07:00.000-04:00I've got The Host, which if I remember right is a ...I've got The Host, which if I remember right is a Korean horror movie about a river monster, in my netflix pile at home waiting for me...LurkerWithouthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03540770911478925992noreply@blogger.com
